Sonoran Gold Turquoise Necklace - Sonoran Gold is known for its blues and greens with pops of pyrite inclusions and golden brown matrix, which you see in this stone. This Turquoise is mined in Mexico near the city of Cananea. The material is relatively new to the market, found in 2019 in the Cananea mines. Unlike most turquoise, Sonoran Gold is not mined in veins but rather as individual nuggets.
This fossil is bezel set in fine silver and backed with sterling silver, the backplate and bail have hand hammered texture. The necklace has been oxidized to highlight the textures. The back of the pendant is stamped with the Shiny Objects makers mark.
Please indicate the chain of your preference. You can choose between a 19” round rolo chain with lobster clasp (in these listing photos) or a 1.5mm sterling silver ball chain with lobster clasp (18”)
